Vision Statement:
The Potter's House will be known as a serving, growing and loving community which embraces the world around it.

HISTORY: C.I.H.R. purchased the 316 Meadville house in 2001 to rent to college students.
It is operated by the Edinboro Ministry Council and is overseen by their live-in Coalition for Christian Outreach* campus ministry staff person.

GOALS: Pay off mortgage in 12-15 years in order to provide funding for C.C.O. (Coalition for Christian Outreach) staff person and make physical improvements to the house
(ie., windows and driveway)

ACTION PLAN 2006-2007

Goals / Objectives Actions
1. Construct opportunities within the community, both on campus and off campus, for students in the house to serve regularly

Cultivate relationships with local ministries

Assist with MOPS ministry at EUMC

Participate in food pantry

Serve through Habitat for Hummanity

Help OSD (Office for Students with Disibilities)

Develop on-campus small groups

2. Establish a safe place for meaningful connection for Edinboro students

Invite EUP Students to Open House Dinners

Coordinate Friday night outreach events

Hold Annual Pig Roast

Invite EUP Students to Superbowl party

Coordinate end of semester get- togethers


3. Train students to incorporate faith into academics, community, and leadership

Solidify a training curriculum which promotes spiritual growth, community awareness, and individual leadership development

Develop individual plans for growth and leadership

Study the connection between personal identity and community service

Conduct weekly house meetings

4. Provide leadership as students create outreach events

Invite EUP students to coffee house

Attend CCO annual conference (Jubilee)
